GRAPHIC IDENTITY

The Practice of Democracy partnered with Extra Crispy to develop video and visual assets to support their 2024 launch and fundraising efforts.

We rooted the visual system in mixed media animation and organic texture

This project challenged us to adapt our signature collage-forward approach to a more sober, hard-hitting tone.

Textures throughout the work were derived from photographs taken at the site of one of the organization’s neighborhood reinvestment projects, grounding the visuals in place and history.

Working closely with the client, we collaborated on scripting and produced a series of videos alongside a full keynote presentation and supporting graphics.

The work extended across formats and platforms, including a partnership with Modjo Studios in El Salvador to support an immersive VR experience.

The resulting hero video remains the primary visual anchor on The Practice of Democracy’s website, setting the tone for the organization’s public-facing presence

This project stands as an example of how Extra Crispy adapts its aesthetic language to meet the gravity of the subject matter while maintaining cohesion, clarity, and craft.
